The National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Dissemination and Training (D & T) Division, focuses on implementation research, and education and training related to advancing the clinical care and social welfare of America’s Veterans and others who have experienced trauma, or those who suffer from PTSD and stress-related disorders. We are also in¬vested in understanding how to influence health care systems and policy, create products, and use technology to provide the best care for Veterans. The individuals selected for this position will step into an environment defined by progressive thinking and state-of-the-art application of science related to the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of PTSD.

The implementation science researcher/clinical psychologist is expected to be involved in national dissemination, implementation, evaluation and training initiatives, and in the development of content for and assessment of in-person trainings, online trainings, websites and the use of other technologies that support providers and Veterans. Experi-ence needed for the job includes the abilities to conduct D & T research/program evaluation, write grants/journal publications/content related to mental health, and develop innovative prod¬ucts. Additional qualities sought include excellent communication skills, ability to work with multiple and diverse team members, clinical knowledge, flexibility, and initiative.

There are two positions currently available on USA Jobs. The positions are identical except that one is permanent and one is term; the intention is that more established clinicians would likely apply for the permanent position, but all applicants are welcome to apply to either or both.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Applicants must be eligible for licensure to qualify at the GS 12 level and currently licensed to qualify at the GS 13 level. Please note that both positions close April 7th.
