The D & T Division focuses on implementation research, and education and training related to advancing the clinical care and social welfare of America’s Veterans and others who have experienced trauma, or those who suffer from PTSD and stress-related disorders. The individual selected for the position will step into an environment defined by progressive thinking and state-of-the art application of science related to the understanding, diagnosing, and treatment of PTSD. The D & T Division is a dedicated group invested in understanding how to influence health care systems and policy, create products, and use technology to provide the best care for Veterans. The person in this role is expected to be involved in national dissemination, implementation, evaluation, and training initiatives, and in the development of content for and assessment of in-person trainings, on-line trainings, websites and use of other technologies that support providers and Veterans. Experience needed for the job includes ability to conduct dissemination and training research/program evaluation, write grants/journal publications/content related to mental health, and develop innovative products. Additional qualities sought include excellent communication skills, ability to work with multiple and diverse team members, clinical knowledge, flexibility, and initiative.
