The National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Dissemination and Training (D & T) Division in Menlo Park California is planning to hire in the near future. The D & T Division focuses on a number of areas related to the understanding, care and treatment of PTSD. As a part of our mission we are involved in national implementation and training initiatives and we engage in grant writing and conduct research related to the same. We have a dissemination and implementation research focus combined with development of educational and training content related to PTSD and its co-morbidities, including developing and studying the effectiveness of materials designed for websites, on-line trainings and use of other technologies. In addition, we develop and study the implementation and sustainability of in-person trainings as appropriate and treatment outcome. The person selected for the job will function as an educator and implementation science researcher who is conducting activities relevant to our mission. To give you an idea of the types of projects that are currently underway, we have recently developed 7 website toolkits and 4 on-line courses. Each will be evaluated for impact and change in behavior. We developed and are doing program evaluation for two large national treatment roll outs. Research on phone apps and web technology for the care of the Veteran are underway. This is a short list, but gives a flavor of the type of work we are doing.
