Postdoctoral Fellowship Position, University of Pennsylvania

We are pleased to announce a postdoctoral opportunity available in the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Since 2007, the Beck Community Initiative of Penn has served as a model for the successful implementation of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in community behavioral health settings, increasing access to evidence-based treatment for economically, culturally, and ethnically diverse populations, both within the United States and in Low and Middle Income Countries. Under the direction of Torrey Creed, Ph.D., the focus of the fellowship will be on the implementation of CBT in community mental health across a range of treatment settings to support children, adolescents, or adults in their recovery from mental and behavioral health issues. Experiences will include the development and systematic use of implementation strategies to integrate and sustain CBT in community practice settings, adaptation of CBT for specific populations, delivery of intensive CBT training and consultation, and evaluation of implementation strategies and outcomes. Participation in research, grant writing, IRB activities, manuscript preparation, and other academic and administrative endeavors may also be part of the experience. For more information about the Beck Community Initiative, see http://www.med.upenn.edu/bci/.

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis. The position will be for two years, with the second year contingent on funding at the end of year one.

Qualifications: Applicants who have earned Ph. D., Psy.D. or equivalent in psychology, social work, or related disciplines with previous training in Cognitive Therapy / CBT or implementation science are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are fluent in Spanish are especially encouraged to apply.

Please send a CV, a statement of interest, and two letters of recommendation to Torrey Creed, Ph.D. at tcreed@pennmedicine.upenn.edu.
