ASSISTANT PROFESSOR. The Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia (www.uga.edu/psychology/) invites applications for a tenure- track Assistant Professor position in Clinical Psychology for Fall, 2014. We seek applicants whose research addresses any aspect of the development, implementation, and/or dissemination of psychological interventions for adult populations, including couples and families. We define psychological interventions broadly to include programs aimed at treating or preventing mental and/or physical health disorders. The successful candidate will have a strong record of research with the potential for external funding and will be prepared to contribute to the instructional mission of the department at both graduate and undergraduate levels. A Ph.D. in clinical psychology and Georgia license-eligibility are also required.

The Clinical Psychology Program is part of a large and diverse Department of Psychology that encourages collaboration across research labs. Established relationships with the Owens Institute for Behavioral Research, the Biomedical and Health Sciences Institute, the Bio-imaging Research Center, and the College of Public Health also offer opportunities for research collaboration. The Clinical Psychology Program is APA- accredited and a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. It operates a community clinic for training and research that provides services to diverse individuals of all ages from Athens and surrounding rural areas.
