We are pleased to announce the opening of TWO positions in the Beck Community Initiative of the University of Pennsylvania. Since 2007, the Beck Community Initiative has served as a model for the successful implementation of CBT in community behavioral health settings, increasing access to evidence-based treatment for economically, culturally, and ethnically diverse urban populations. Under the direction of Torrey A. Creed, Ph.D. and Aaron T. Beck, M.D., we seek both a staff psychologist and a postdoctoral fellow to join our team. The focus on the work will be the implementation of CBT in community mental health across a range of treatment settings to support children, adolescents, or adults in their recovery from mental and behavioral health issues. Experiences will include the development and systematic use of implementation strategies to integrate CBT into community practice settings, adaptation of CBT for use in different levels of care, delivery of intensive training and consultation, and evaluation of implementation outcomes. Participation in research, grant writing, IRB activities, manuscript preparation, and other academic and administrative endeavors are also part of the experience. For more information about the Beck Community Initiative, see http://www.med.upenn.edu/bci/.
