Job posting: Research Faculty, College of Nursing, University of Arkansas for Medical Science

This is a 12-month, full-time tenure track faculty position. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the PhD and graduate programs and pursue a program of research.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s and PhD degrees in nursing
  • Meets criteria for Associate or Professor rank
  • Teaching experience in PhD nursing program, including chairing dissertations preferred
  • Evidence of a program of scholarship and research
  • Experience with Implementation Science or manipulating big data sets preferred

The College of Nursing, a CCNE accredited institution, provides baccalaureate, master’s, DNP, and PhD programs to over 600 students. Faculty are national and regional leaders. The College has a Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence, one of only nine in the nation. Research foci include cancer, cardiovascular, pediatrics, genetics, and adult/gero. Located in Arkansas’ only academic health science center, with world-class clinical facilities and the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Health Professions, and a Graduate School, the College of Nursing has partnerships with magnet clinical centers in aging, cancer, neuroscience, high-risk maternity, and ophthalmology; Arkansas Children’s Hospital; nine Regional Programs; Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System; and seven Regional Aging Centers. The College of Nursing faculty are actively involved in leadership positions in the NIH funded Translational Research Institute (CTSA).
