If you are wondering….. how is SIRC different from the Global Implementation Conference (GIC)?

SIRC’s focus is:

  • narrower than GIC – closest to the GIC Research Practice Group
  • specifically on implementation of evidence-based psychosocial interventions
  • on implementation research experts from around the country presenting traditional symposia of in progress and completed implementation studies as well as reviews of the recent literature (note, breakfast, lunch, and reception provided on site – allowing time and space for networking and collaboration)
  • a reflection of several disparate frameworks and theories to conceptualize effective intervention implementation, as well as empirical support for implementation frameworks
  • primarily on implementation research and evaluation, but includes implementation models and practical strategies
  • producing usable tools and tangible products – such as our measures project that seeks to increase shared knowledge of and easy access to high quality measures for implementation research
  • promotion of junior colleagues
