We are seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow to work on research projects and program development aimed at developing and tested briefer, simpler behavioral interventions for individual with mental health problems from trauma exposure, including PTSD and substance use. This work is part of the newly formed Trauma Recovery Innovations (TRI) at the University of Washington, Department of Psychiatry. The position is for one year and includes oversight of intervention development research and adaptation projects and implementation of interventions in local and, possibly, global settings. The position is for one-year. Renewal for a second year is possible and is contingent on performance and availability of funds.
Requirements: (1) PhD in clinical psychology (or a closely related field); (2) U.S. citizen, or permanent U.S. resident; (3) solid research training, including evidence of prior human subject research experience and scholarly activity; (4) background in cognitive behavioral therapy and problems related to trauma exposure. Start of position is negotiable, with desired start date of July 2017. ABD status is acceptable during the application period, but the PhD must be completed by the start date.
