Instrument Review Project

Early instrumentation issues slowed the progression of Implementation Science. SIRC’s Instrument Review Project (IRP) aimed to advance the field through measure development and evaluation (NIMH R01MH106510, PI: Lewis). As a first step, the team conducted an enhanced systematic review and synthesis of instruments (Lewis et al, 2015; Lewis et al., 2018). The review centered on the Implementation Outcomes Framework (Proctor et al., 2011) and constructs outlined in the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (Damschroder et al., 2009). For the review, the team developed the Psychometric And Pragmatic Evidence Scale (PAPERS) for evaluating measures (Lewis, et al., 2021).
